See us on TV!

The Bopps came to Clarence House recently, to shoot the video for their new song, “Teeth”. Filming took about half a day to shoot and all the partners and staff joined in with real gusto and feature in the video singing along, dancing and generally having fun in various sketches.

So how were we chosen? One of our patients is Keith Littler who has attended Clarence House from a very early age. Over the years a friendship had evolved to such an extent that, when Keith developed a song with the band about cleaning teeth, Clarence House became an obvious choice for a venue to film it.

When we asked the band about their time with us, Littler said, "It wasn't easy discussing the idea for the video initially as I was under anaesthetic but Marc Gresley and his colleagues were keen to do something with us that promoted dental care amongst the young. The aim of the video was to show the dental surgery as a friendly, welcoming place  and to let the little ones see the staff being silly and having fun. It worked really well and many people have since told me it is their favourite video in the series.” He added, “Personally, I really enjoyed it and the memory of such skilled professionals letting their hair down and getting 'stuck in' will stay with me for a long time."

Stan Cullimore added, "We are ultimately entertainers and education is a by-product of what we do. The key for us was to deliver a message without preaching and to have fun. We had a great time and the folk at Clarence House were fantastic."
